DIY: DNase Inactivating Solution

Happens a lot of time that you see gels like this after DNA isolation?

So lets find out a way to not let this happen to you again, ready?

Recipe

1. 5ml of #HydrogenPeroxide (H2O2)

2. 2.5ml of 0.05M #SodiumHydroxide (NaOH)

3. 1ml of 10% #SodiumDodecylSulfate solution

4. 10ml of absolute #Ethanol (molecular biology grade please!)

5. 1481.5 ml of double autoclaved Milli-Q water to give you 1.5L of your own #DIYDNaseZap.

Uses

To wipe clean pipettes and benchtop before working with DNA, thats it!

Go grab a #SchottDuran and head off to the chemicals!
